The first album from a new electronic music project from Paul of Fauxchisels / Monica's Last Prayer.

Warmfield is: a parageographical exploration of the people, places, and folklore of the West Riding and its fringes.

The first album 'Warmfield-cum-Heath' focuses on the places, people and history of the titular parish.

Limited edition C45 cassette in recycled O-card with 16 page A6 zine featuring lyrics, elaborations and what3words references for all of the locations featured in the album.

Audio separately blended and mastered for the cassette release to create a different experience to the digital album.

Also comes with download code.

WARMFIELD vol.1: Warmfield-cum-Heath

Warmfield-cum-Heath is a civil parish in the City of Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England. It had a recorded population of 804 at the 1801 Census, and 904 at the 2021 Census.

Until 1974 it formed part of the Wakefield Rural District and as of 2004 it is under the electoral ward of Normanton. Historically, for almost a thousand years, it was contained within the Lower Agbrigg division of the Agbrigg wapentake.

The parish consists of the villages of Warmfield, Heath, Kirkthorpe and the hamlet of Goosehill, and includes large areas of common land.

It contains 57 listed buildings that are recorded in the National Heritage List for England.

Downstream from the city, the river Calder flows through the west of the parish in a northeasterly direction.
